All / Products & Reviews

I met this brand at an afro hair exhibition years ago. The company was still relatively new and they hadn’t yet developed leave-in conditioners. They stood out for me because of their policy on the use of natural ingredients. All their products are designed to have a hazard score of 0, which means they are safer and kinder for you and your hair. Well as soon as I heard that they brought in a line of hair butters with conditioners, I knew I had to try me some.

Hype: African hair is highly porous and relies on butters and oils to retain moisture
However while most butters can moisturise the hair, very few contain conditioner to help reduce damage. This highly effective all round butter contains a variety of Brazilian butters known for to protect, nourish and provide moisture. A light mango fragrance keeps the hair smelling fresh while the berry conditioner provides silky, smooth feeling.

Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera Candelilla) Wax, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Theobroma Cacoa (Cocoa)seed butter, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Bertholletia Excelsa (Brazil nut) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil, Stearoyl Inulin, Astrocaryum (Murumuru) Seed Butter, Theobroma Grandiflorum (cupacua) Seed Butter, Limonene, Parfum, Glyceryl Oleate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric Acid, Linalool, Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Citral

MoHair’s reality: You may have noticed that I don’t talk about Shea butter. I used to be addicted to it cause it was great for keeping my braid and twists out from frizzing up and kept my hair soft. Shea butter kinda faded from my regular routine unintentionally and I think mainly because of the smell. In this product I think I have found an alternative for all the things I used to use Shea butter for but with a few additions. For example slicking back by edges.

The waxes in this product hold my edges down for like the whole day. I have also decanted some as a lip balm.

It smells great and you get real value for money as a little goes a long way and you get a good size tub. I intend to replace Herbal Essence Beautiful Ends leave-in and Lush R&B Moisturiser with this product so it gets 5 out of 5 fros.

I used some on my body, soft all day! I smooshed some into my yarn braids after washing, but can't really tell if it's good until I take them out (3 weeks). I'm enjoying my products. Thanks again!
