All / Products & Reviews

I realise I’ve never done a product haul post on this blog. It just never occurred to me that you guys might want to see all the lovely hair goodies I’m constantly buying. Well, this is me remedying that oversight! I recently received a shipment of hair products from the US which I’ve been lusting after for ages and which are extremely difficult if not impossible to buy in this country.

A month ago, MoHair and I heard that Target (a US store) was doing a buy one get one free on two of the brands we really wanted to try; Shea Moisture and Neutrogena. It was too good an opportunity to miss so we asked our lovely cousin Femi, who lives in the US to purchase some products and forward them on (I promised I’d give him a shout out).  We will of course be doing reviews in due course.  So here’s what I bought…..

Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap Deep Cleansing Shampoo
Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap Purification Masque
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Masque
As promised in my juicing post, I also bought some additional dietary supplements and they arrived yesterday.
Hubner Original Silicea Liquid for Hair Skin & Nails
The Alchemist Apothecary Spirulina Powder

Oooooohhhhh…can't wait to see reviews, It really pisses me off that there is so much available across the pond

Going across the pond this weekend any tips for me on where to get these products and what I should be looking for with my natural hair?

  3. Hey Funky Diva. Shea Moisture is only available in Target so that's a good place to start as they also have a wide range of other brands. Another place is Ulta but it is worth checking out any local beauty stores. For your natural hair, brands which are not available here and quite popular are Carol's Daughter, Deva Curl, Elucence and Jane Carter Solutions. I'd say check out http://www.naturallycurly.com for product recommendations, then you can either order it to whichever address you'll be staying at or try and find a local stockist.

In fact, if you buy me a big bottle of Elucence Moisture Balance conditioner, I'll be your friend for life!!
